ASTROLOGY LESSON 1 // COSMOLOGICAL ARCHETYPES

ASTROLOGY LESSON 1 // COSMOLOGICAL ARCHETYPES
Welcome to lesson one of a three-part series, helping you decipher the magick encoded within your Astrology (and Human Design) chart, and the charts of those you love.
As you likely know, Astrology is a mystical self-awareness tool built upon the belief that each planet carries its own symbolism, as do the constellations (zodiac signs) they position themselves within as they travel across the skies – from our perspective here on earth.
Your birth chart is a map of the sky at the moment you were born – the cosmic blueprint encoded within your soul.
Today we begin by studying what area of life each of the Cosmological Archetypes represent within your chart. We start with the planets. In class two, we’ll discuss the energies of each Zodiac Sign to understand how they flavour each of those planet’s themes – so you can interpret what Venus in Gemini for example, would mean for you.
Finally, in part three – we’ll discuss the Houses, which isn’t so much complicated... but can be one too many factors to contemplate for beginners and you may want to circle back to that after integrating lesson one and two.
So, the planets!
First things first, its helpful to understand the difference between inner and outer planets. The inner planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars) typically tell us more about ourselves, who we are and how we operate in the world – while the outer planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) speak to our experience in life and within the world at large.
Our inner story, our outer story.
The North and South Node are the nodes of the Moon – they shine a light on our karma and dharma, our comfort zone and what we have the potential to grow into in the second half of your life – however, the North Node becomes much more relevant after the age of forty.
And for those of you that are unfamiliar with the world of Human Design, your Earth Sign is the opposite of your Sun Sign – check out this post here where I elaborate on the significance of this.

When you’re ready, we’ll now move along to lesson two – The Zodiac Signs.
However, if something isn’t quite sinking in and you’d like someone to hold your hand – I offer 1:1 Know Thyself Readings, which centre Human Design synthesised with Astrology and The Gene Keys teachings and would love nothing more than to sit down together and look at your charts!
